The speakers at the Culture Talk Conference are thought leaders and practitioners who bring together diverse cultural perspectives with a shared passion for innovation, growth, and impact. By sharing their transformative experiences and insights, they inspire audiences to embrace new ways of thinking, foster understanding across cultures, and shape a more connected future.
Judges
Since 2003, has been conducting research on the fields of comparative culture and teaching Russian, the Russian literature and translation at Sophia University, where currently holds the position of Associate Professor. Author and a co-author of several Russian language textbooks, as well as research papers on the Russian language teaching methodology and comparative cultural studies, written in Russian, English, and Japanese. In addition to courses taught in Japanese, also delivers lectures in English on Russian history and culture. Is an active member of several research societies.
Regularly serves as a jury member for various external Russian language contests and proficiency examinations.
Graduated in 1988 from the Department of Japanese Language, Faculty of History and Linguistics, University of Asian and African Studies, Moscow State University. As part of the program, spent one year studying at Tokai University (Japan) as an exchange student.
During graduate studies, worked as an interpreter at different culture events and international conferences, and also provided Russian dubbing for Japanese films.
Since 1991 worked for three years for an advertising department of a major corporation in Japan promoting and organising art exhibitions and other culture exchange events. Later transitioned to teaching the Russian language and translation courses. Developed and edited numerous instructional materials and recorded Russian language audio content.
Graduate of NIS with High Honors and currently a student at Nazarbayev University.
